Workshops on Saturday 18th June

The Workshops are a big part of the Jim Dowling Uilleann Pipe and Trad Festival. While the stars are playing elsewhere, the stars of the future are honing their skills with some of the top pipe, flute, fiddle, accordion and banjo players in the country.

The workshops are important to us and we welcome everyone to participate. There is no age limit but at least a basic level of ability on your instrument will be a requirement. Also, try to bring your own instrument along on the day.

This year we have 5 different workshops going on with Sean McKeon giving a Pipe Workshop in the Glengarriff Parish Hall – this is a great opportunity to get an up-close lesson with one of the finest young Uilleann Pipers around. While the pipes will be ringing out at the Parish Hall there will be 4 other workshops in the Glengarriff National School, see the list below for details.

The Workshops take place from 11am to 2pm on Saturday 18th June 2016 with Registration beginning at 10.30am.
The Registration Fee is €15 per Workshop.
