We are delighted to announce the line-up for the 2016 Jim Dowling Uilleann Pipe and Trad Festival, which takes place from 16th to 19th June. The festival has grown from small beginnings in 2013 to become one of the highlights on Ireland’s festival map, attracting the country’s top trad musicians and ever bigger audiences.
This year’s stellar line-up includes Dervish, Connla, The Bonny Men, The Pipers Union, Blackie O’Connell and Caroline Keane.
Throughout the weekend, there will be 32 scheduled trad sessions and, if previous years are anything to go by, many more spontaneous sessions. There will also be workshops, master classes and numerous events taking place around Glengarriff village.
Glengarriff, renowned for its breathtaking scenery, is a must-visit destination on the Wild Atlantic Way. The village is packed with lively pubs and superb restaurants. So why not plan your visit to coincide with the Jim Dowling Uilleann Pipe and Trad Festival? We look forward to seeing you. Details of all concerts and events can be found on the website.
